Artefacts 1 is the first regular vinyl of the reactivated in 2020 LoopCode Traxx netlabel, which was one of the first digital music publishing initiatives in Poland. Realities have changed, digital releases are leading the way, and for LoopCode Traxx it's time to go against the grain again.
Two DJs are responsible for the title track from Artefakts 1, Phonk – a founder of LoopCode Traxx - and DJ Extase, a legend of the Polish techno scene.
808 Killer (side A) is a dirty and percussive hard techno, where the whole thing is shot through with a murderous TR-808 loop treated with predatory distortion. It's exactly the kind of techno that Phonk and Extase liked approx. two decades ago. Renovation (side B) is a different approach to the same theme. Same tools, same patterns, but different experience and 20 more years of life. Recorded live, this time with a TB-303 exposed to the foreground.
Although 808 Killer has alredy premiere at events, as well as existed in the digital sphere, it had to wait two decades to be worthily released. Arefacts 1 is a limited edition of marbled, white and black vinyl, with an additional graphic insert. A truly collector's item. The repress is not planned.

Artefacts 1 to pierwszy regularny winyl reaktywowanego w 2020 roku netlabelu LoopCode Traxx, który był jedną z pierwszych inicjatyw cyfrowego wydawania muzyki w Polsce. Realia się zmieniły, cyfrowe wydawnictwa wiodą prym, dla LoopCode Traxx to czas by znowu iść pod prąd.
Za tytułowe nagranie z Artefacts 1 - odpowiada dwóch
dj-ów, Phonk - założyciel LoopCode Traxx i legenda polskiej sceny techno - DJ Extase.
808 Killer (strona A) to brudne, przesterowane, perkusyjne hard techno, w którym całość nakręca mordercza pętla TR-808 potraktowana drapieżnym przesterem. To dokładnie takie techno jakie kręciło chłopaków 20 lat temu. Renovation (strona B) to inne podejście do tego samego tematu, te same narzędzia, te same patterny, inne doświadczenia i 20 lat więcej na karku, nagrane na żywo tym razem z wystawioną na pierwszy plan 303ką.
808 Killer, mimo że miał już swoją premierę na imprezach jak i istniał w sferze cyfrowej, musiał czekać dwie dekady na to by zostać godnie wydanym. Arefacts 1 to limitowana edycja marmurowego, biało-czarnego winylu, z dodatkową wkładką graficzną. Iście kolekcjonerski rarytas. Repressu nie będzie.
